In 2003, she established The Ellen MacArthur Trust to take young people aged between 8-18 sailing to help them regain their confidence, on their way to recovery from cancer, leukemia and other serious illness. Having spent so much of my life at sea I thoroughly enjoyed this book about the lives of deep-sea trawlermen. It's an extremely dangerous job and it gave me a really valuable insight into a very different life lived on the ocean wave.
