Eight witchy mysteries and thrillers

Carolina Ciucci is a teacher, writer and reviewer based in the south of Argentina. She hoards books like they’re going out of style. In case of emergency, you can summon her by talking about Ireland, fictional witches, and the Brontë family. At Book Riot she tagged eight books that "are either intriguing mysteries or absorbing thrillers, and they’re all brimming with magic." One title on the list:

A Familiar Tail (Witch’s Cat Mystery #1) by Delia James

Annabelle acquires an unexpected familiar when she arrives in Portsmouth. She also acquires a question, since Alistair the cat’s owner died in mysterious circumstances. When somebody else dies, it’s up to her, her magic, and her cat, to find out who did it and why.
